Promoting Student Safety and Learning: Building a Campus Free of Sexual Violence

This full-day training will examine:

  • Sexual Assault: Definitions, Myths and Statistics

  • Trauma of Assault: Healing and Resilience

  • From Stalking to Drugs: Gateway Crimes and Behavioral Patterns

  • What’s Your Role: Coordinated Campus Responses

  • Cleary Act: Meeting the Letter of the Federal Law

  • Changing Norms: Primary Prevention and Bystander Intervention

  • Building Blocks: Resources for Response and Change

 

This FREE training is designed to answer the question: How can your campus community strengthen the learning environment in preventing and responding to sexual violence? This training is intended for campus staff including residential life, campus public safety/police, health educators, student affairs, faith based providers; faculty and administrative staff; and for community organizations that respond to sexual assault, including domestic violence and sexual assault advocates, local law enforcement and other crime victim service providers, health care and mental health providers. Limit 50 Participants
