Suffolk County Community College’s Second Annual Take Back The Night, Shatter the Silence and Stop the Violence program and march on the Michael J. Grant Campus, Brentwood is scheduled – rain or shine –for Friday April 12, 2019 at 7 p.m.

The featured speaker, Smithtown attorney Lois Sicignano Rowman who provides legal services to the Empowerment Collaborative of Long Island, a victim’s advocacy organization, and participates in the Suffolk County Anti-Trafficking Initiative, a multi-disciplinary task force on human trafficking, will discuss her work with the Zonta Club of Suffolk County, an organization affiliated with Zonta International, a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. She will also discuss the prevalence of human trafficking on Long Island and her advocacy work.

The marcher’s route throughout the Grant Campus will be as follows:

  • Sagtikos Theatre – Theme: Introductions & Registration
  • Health, Sports & Education Center – Theme: Diversity and Empowerment
  • Captree Commons – Theme: Mental Health/Reflection/Food
