The purpose of this program is to provide an educational forum to discuss Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) and the potential effects it can contribute to long-term, adverse health-related issues. The intended audience for this program are all healthcare professionals and staff (clincal and non-clinical) who provide health-related services to their patients.


The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Center for Continuing Education in Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. An application has been submitted and approved for 4.5 continuing nursing education credits.

Social Work Continuing Education hours are available through a partnership with University at Albany School of Social Welfare. University at Albany, School of Social Welfare is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0011.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Continuing Education hours are available through a partnership with University at Albany School of Social Welfare and School of Education. University at Albany, School of Social Welfare & School of Education, Continuing Education Program is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0039.


The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
