The Creative Arts Therapies are uniquely situated to provide clinicians with verbal and especially non-verbal tools to help clients recover from traumatic experiences as well as providing the clinician creative clinical assessment approaches and methods for working with clients suffering from PTSD, specifically because trauma is often so difficult to describe and heal with words alone. The training will assist mental health attendees in developing a repertoire of dynamic modalities for treating clients who are recovering from trauma and/or who are in post trauma distress, by helping their clients access and use their own deep source and wellspring of wisdom and healing imagery, as allies in their regeneration, safely, without re-traumatization.
Space will be very limited so we encourage you to register early!
The training is from 9-4 at the RSS offices 30 Matthews Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Lunch will be provided!
The cost is $65 for 6 continuing education contact hours for social workers, mental health counselors, psychoanalysts, creative arts therapist, and marriage & family therapists. Full attendance is required to receive credit; variable credit for partial attendance may not be awarded based on State Board guidelines. To register please go to www.bookeo.com/octraumainstitute
