Description
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) has made emergency grants for a 3-year timeframe available to domestic violence programs through American Rescue Plan (ARP) supplemental funding. As programs have begun their planning around this funding, OCFS and NYSCADV have received various questions concerning cost allocation principles, budgeting and compliance with grant guidance and policies as it relates to using funding toward staffing, bonuses, and raises.
To this end, the New York State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and OCFS are collaborating to offer a Technical Assistance Clinic on Tuesday, March 22, 2-3:30pm. We will be joined by Ellen Yin-Wycoff and Kim Feeney from the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) Capacity Technical Assistance team, who will share tips and guidance specific to these commonly asked questions, including workforce expansion and capacity building, federal guidelines for allowable, reasonable and allocable costs, and implementing staff salaries in compliance with grant guidance.
After the initial presentation, there will be time for questions and answers from participants.
Who Should Attend:
Registration is open to any domestic violence service provider that accepted a FVPSA ARP Covid-19 Testing, Vaccination and Mobile Health Units grant through OCFS. Programs are strongly encouraged to send their program/executive directors as well as their finance directors to this session.
