Many colleges utilize a hearing board process to adjudicate student conduct incidents including those related to sexual misconduct and gender-based violence. During this webinar, Dr. Sara Kelly (Associate Dean of Students/Director of Residential Life at SUNY College at Brockport) Denine Carr, JD (Title IX and College Compliance Officer), and Dan Greer (Assistant Director of Student Conduct) will discuss the roles of various parties, the important processes and discuss board trainings.
The team will also cover how the conduct board process meets EIE and Title IX requirements as well as how this process provides a fundamentally fair process for all involved parties. During this webinar, we will also be joined by Christi Waldron (College Advocate Coordinator with Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York, Inc.), who will present strategies for how rape crisis center advocates can successfully advocate for their clients during the university judicial process.
This webinar is ideal for rape crisis center advocates who are interested in learning more in-depth information on conduct board hearing processes, as well as university administrators who are interested in reviewing their own university processes.
