20 Feb Mandated Reporter Training for Child Abuse

The Safe Center is recognized by New York State as a provider of the Mandated Reporter Training for Child Abuse. This is a certification course and is two hours in length. Late entries will not be certified. You will receive your certification on the day of the training.
Certain professionals are required by law to report any suspicions of child abuse directly to the state child abuse hotline for investigation. We will teach you about when and how to make reports, and how to ensure the safety of the child as well as your professional license. You will learn the warning signs of child abuse and neglect, the latest procedures related to reporting, and information about the Child Protective Services response.
Each participant will receive a certificate at the end of the class which can be mailed into the NYS Education Department.
