*Continuing Nursing Education Credits have been applied for through the International Association of Forensic Nurses, an accredited Approver of continuing nursing education through the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation.*
- Wednesday March 6: 8:30am – 6:00pm
- Thursday March 7: 8:30am - 6:00pm
- Friday March 8: 8:30am - 6:00pm
- Saturday March 9: 9:00am - 1:30/4:30pm (Clinical Day - hours dependent upon modules)
Course Description
This comprehensive, 40-hour* SAFE certification course called, "The Assessment and Evaluation of Adult/Adolescent Survivors of Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence (Intro Level)", trains medical professionals to provide competent, compassionate care to sexual assault victims, while using the most advanced technology associated with DNA and other sexual assault forensic evidence collection and preservation. Upon completion of all course requirements, course participants will be able to use the Certificate of Completion in order to be certified as a SAFE with the NYS Department of Health.
