Time To Tell is so excited to announce an upcoming workshop for survivors and their allies. On May 22nd, 10 pairs of survivors and an ally of their choice (who is not a survivor) are invited to join us for a screening of the groundbreaking new documentary Telling Is Healing, followed by a community discussion around support for survivor-ally relationships.

Telling Is Healing is a compelling 35-minute filmed conversation between Donna and her friend and colleague Suzanne Beck, a non-survivor. Donna Jenson, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and activist, opens Telling Is Healing by telling her own story of surviving incest from the ages of 7-12. The film digs deep into the discoveries Donna and Suzanne share in this friendship between one survivor and one ally as they navigate the delicate path of disclosure to understanding and support. Using excerpts from her one-woman play, What She Knows, and her book, Healing My Life, Donna brings the audience along with her on the journey from victim to survivor to activist. Learn more about Telling Is Healing here.

This event is for 10 survivors and an ally of their choice, who are interested in getting support for their relationship within a safe and engaging community. An ally can be a friend, colleague, partner, or family member. The event structure will consist of watching the film together and a brief journaling session, followed by thirty-minute breakout room sessions, one for allies and one for survivors.

Breakout rooms will be facilitated by clinicians; survivor Anna Holtzman, who will lead the survivors' group, and ally Reena Bernards, who will lead the ally group.

Spots for Telling Is Healing will fill quickly, and we encourage survivors and their allies to register early. Attendance to Telling Is Healing is $25.00 per person. Your registration will be approved upon receipt of payment and you will receive the event link via email.

We look forward to welcoming you to Telling Is Healing, a unique opportunity to strengthen relationships between survivors and their allies.
