Volunteer/Internship Opportunities

NYSCASA is frequently seeking volunteers and interns to support our work. Interested individuals should submit their resume to info@nyscasa.org.

Board of Directors

Are you interested in supporting NYSCASA’s activities and long-term planning? Do you have skills and knowledge in nonprofit management, organizational planning, fundraising, finance, human resources, legal matters, and/or public relations? Consider applying to join NYSCASA’s Board of Directors!

We are looking for prospective Board candidates who are dedicated to our mission of ending sexual violence while addressing the intersections of oppression and injustice.

We invite candidates with the following skills and knowledge:

  • culturally specific and/or culturally responsive sexual assault prevention and response strategies
  • nonprofit management
  • organizational planning
  • fundraising
  • development
  • finance
  • human resources and personnel management
  • legal matters
  • public relations and media/press engagement

We invite candidates from all regions in New York State, especially candidates from the following geographic regions:

  • Western New York
  • Southern Tier
  • Central New York
  • Mohawk Valley

We are looking for candidates who are prepared to:

  • support NYSCASA’s mission and values, including racial justice and anti-oppression work; 
  • raise funds to support NYSCASA’s activities;
  • support the executive director;
  • engage in Board and organizational development, including long-term planning;
  • ensure the agency’s legal and ethical integrity and maintain accountability; and
  • donate to the agency.

We seek affirmatively to recruit candidates who are reflective of and sensitive to the needs of the diverse communities affected by sexual violence in New York State. All are encouraged to apply.
